A Day I Will Never Soon Forget By: ~*~Randi~*~

I would like to express my appreciation about the fact the demo was even held here. It was originally scheduled in Milpitas at the Vans Park "but there were conflicting political issues with ESPN sponsors and Vans Skatepark sponsors." according to Tony. He also said that he "was stoked to do a demo in Sacramento where few demos go down. That makes two of us.

I arrived at the Grand Prix Skatepark in Sacramento, CA. and was surprised to see very few people. The people that we did see where either like 30+ years old or 12 and younger. My friends and I got a good front row "seat" behind some gay fence by the vert ramp. Go figure that the street portion of the demo would be first. So we moved to the other side and got another front row spot behind another gay fence.

Finally it's 4:20pm. The giant tour bus rolls in and kids go crazy and ambush it. I realize hella fools are at this demo now. We stay put. We thought we were being smart because we thought the guys would be entering on our side. WRONGO. They marched in on the side we previously left. No biggie. They walked one by one on to the street course and the demo is under way. I looked up in time to see Bam ride by. I was so excited! Followed behind was Tony Hawk, Mike Vallely, Brian Sumner, Steve Berra, Mike Escamilla, Mat Hoffman, Jason Ellis, Alex Chalmers, Chris Senn, Donny Barley, and Shaun White (of whom they kidnapped at the previous demo...with mommies permission of course lol) Am I forgeting anyone?..crap i dont think so... well anyways...about 5 minutes or so Bam attempts to slide down this box rail and falls hard. He doesn't get up right away and when he does he limped of to the side and sat down. He was out for the rest of the demo. I was bummed. I was so stoked to be able to see him skate, but ohwell 5 minutes is better than nothing.
The rest of the guys were awsome given the course was shitty. I was so embarrased that they had to be on this lame ass midget course. Tony even said "The street course was the smallest we have encountered by far. Hardly anything was over three feet and the place could have used variety in terms of quarterpipes and hand rails." and that "It was a struggle to come up with good stuff, but the crowd was always supportive." Mike V. was killer. He 50/50ed the wall ride from the quarterpipes on either side. He kept trying shit even while his arm was dripping puddles of blood along side him. Now that's hardcore. Chris Senn did the biggest transfers and did feebles down the handrails. Steve Berra did kickflips off the side of this fun box and pretty much all the riders aired the gap between the mini ramps. That was a little to close for comfort once i got up there (we will get to that in one sec lol) I felt bad that the boys couldn't put on more of a show and towards the end they got tired and hella slowed down. I soon stopped paying attention. .
I then remembered i had an access pass and thought, "why the fuk am i behind this gay fence when i could be chillen on the ramps and shit?" I told my friend to save my spot and that i would be right back. I asked to security if i could walk in and the dood let me inside. I was stoked. I walked by my friends and waved..suckers... I rushed up to the top of one of the mini ramps and just froze. It was stellar. I didn't know what to do..i was too star struck (call me lame) i had Mat Hoffman chillen to my left, Tony right in front of me, and ..hubba hubba.. Bam Margera sittin near me to my right. I was in heaven. Bam was all bandaged up and didn't seem too happy. I mustered up the courage to approach him. I couldn't seem to say anything but asked Bam for a picture. He smiled and nodded. He stood up next to me and i handed my camera to a near by medical crew guy and he refused to take it. Now im starting to feel dumb. I asked some guy behind him and he got all confused like "huh? what do i do?" Bam gave some smart ass comment on how to use a camera and the guy laughed and took the picture. I thanked him and he sat back down. Wow. My dreams of meeting him ended a little different, but I have an active imagination so we wont go there hehe. Some guy came up to Bam and asked how he was doing and Bam told his story. Then he stood up and lifted up his shirt to show off his wound on his left hip. Just about the damn sexiest sight i have ever seen. (Im a girl, im allowed to be girly haha) He then walked off. Now that he was gone i could relax. I wished my friends were up there with me. Tony walked up and a kid yelled "Hey Tony! can i get a picture?!" and he smiled and posed for the boy. I was excited so i tried to take a picture, but i was out of film. DAMN. The street portion of the demo ends

Considering that it was 23549782394 billion degrees outside i was getting a little tired. I didn't pay much mind to the vert demo at first. I was kickin it towards the back when I noticed Rooftop, Sumner, and Mike V. signing autographs for a few random kidz. I pushed my fat ass up to the front and got a few autographs for myself lol. Then when that excitment wore off I became curious as to what Shaun, Tony, and Mat were up too. Apperently Mat injured his wrist when he bottom-landed on a Flair. I personally didn't see this but my friend did. He too was out for the rest of the day. Mike V., Chris, and Donny did a few runs and when Tony came back he did doubles with Shaun. Tony's board hit a cameraman in the head. I was pretty far back from the action and i could still see hella blood. Gawd only knows what it was like up close. Bam just stood there with his hand on his head and didnt move. It was a pretty random accident. I heard the dood yell at Tony to leave him alone when he came to help. lol I took a picture but you can't tell what the fuck is going on in it, same with half the others i took so i didn't even bother scanning them lol. I went and got more free snapple and by this time the vert portion was over. The demo was officially at a close. Two hours later i might add....it was suposed to go longer...i want my money back...lol j/k
After the demo
A small crowd including us crowded around their tour bus like lame little groupies. Good thing I am one right? lol Well anyways we were in the front near their door. In fact, I was actually holding the door open for the boys as they came in and out. What has my life come too? lol Tony ran by first giving a few high fives but nothing else. He got on the bus and never came back out. Everyone else piled on the bus soon there after. Sumner was a hilarious little fucker. When he basically ran out of shit to throw to us he bagan throwing their trash at us. He then came out with some easy cheese and sprayed at us. It got all over my friend and i told him to apologize to her. He looked at her and simply said, "Ah, get over it already!" lol. He came back off the bus with Tony's half empty water bottle and yelled, "who wants it?!" and the crowd went wild....i made fun of them....The he came out with Bams water bottle and said "MMM Bams water. Bammys lips were right here! Who wants it?" i then went wild LOL (shut up haha)i think some boy got it.

Me and the Birdman
My friends and I were a litle bummed that no one could have TOnys autograph. Right then i was told that the MC was calling for all club Tony members. That would be me. I went over there and there was only like 10 other people. They locked us behind a fence and said that we were the only people able to get to hang out with Tony and that we should feel lucky. LoL and i was made fun of for being a part of his online fan club. Who is laughing now? lol. Well, Tony showed up and signed autographs and tooks pictures, but he didnt say much. I got my stuff and then i heard the crowd chanting "Bam Bam Bam" i asked to be let out and i ran back to my post by the bus door. There ws no Bam lol. A few minutes later he came out and tossed his awsome sunglasses to some little kid. He began to act like the bam we all know the minute EXPN shoved a camera in his face. I don't know what the fuck he was talking about so i guess you will just have to watch when that episode aires in like august (i have the offical times and dates listed below). He signed autographs and took pictures with people. Some humungous girl (without warning i think) like threw her arms around him for a picture and the scared look on his face was priceless...lol But im sure he looked like that when got my picture taken with him.
I hate little Kids
I swear, these little rat bastard get everything they want becasue they are little. The are the greediest little fukers ever. Take this one little shit head for example. Steve Berra lost his favorite skate key and some rugrat found it. He turned it in to him and Steve was happy. He gave the little faggot a brand new set of wheels. About 15 minutes later that same little brat came back and demanded to talk to Steve becasue some kid stole them and when he got them back, the wrapper was torn a little. The kid wanted a new set. So the dood he was bitchen too ( i cant remember who) was like, "but you got them back right? so everything should be ok" and "Steve doesn't have any more" the kid started whinning and i yelled at him for shut his fukin face. Pissed me off. I wanted to fuk that boys day up hardcore. I wish i got more pictures of the doods since they were right in front of me, but no. My faggot ass had to leave me video camera and extra film in the car. So much for coming prepaired. After about an hour the bus started its engines. Bam hung himself out this tiny ass window and motioned for the crowd to come over while the bus driving away. The bus rounded the corner and was gone and the day i had been waiting for so long was over....
